Peter William "Pete" Postlethwaite is one of Hollywood’s underrated brilliant actors. He was a British actor for stage, television, and film. His first breakthrough came with the movie Distant Voices Still Lives in 1988. This actor, who was born in Washington in 1946, taught drama before he turned serious in his acting career. Renowned director praised him for his excellent craft even calling him the “best actor in the world” after working together in the movie, The Lost World: Jurassic Park. To this, Postlethwaite replied humbly, “he probably meant that I think I am the best actor in the world.” During his career, Postlethwaite received an Academy Award nomination for his role in the movie In the Name of the Father in 1993. He was also made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2004. He died in January 2, 2011 after suffering from cancer. Here is a look at his last three movies that were shown in 2010.

Louis Leterrier directed the movie and Aviator star Sam Worthington played the lead role. Pete Postlethwaite was part of the movie as Spyros, the adoptive father of Perseus. He and his wife raised Perseus on the Cyclades Islands after finding him one day while they were fishing. As usual, Postlethwaite was able to turn a small role into a memorable performance in this movie that was shown in April 2, 2010.
